Privacy Policy

San Fernando Residents Directory collects very little directly. This policy describes search-form routing, ordinary hosting logs, contact messages, outside links, and the choices available when information is held here. The reference points to public rolls and historical collections in San Fernando and California; it does not create an account or maintain a resident database.

Information You Send Directly

Text entered into a name, phone, or address search is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. San Fernando Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you email or otherwise contact the operators, the message and the details you choose to include are used to answer the request.

Ordinary Technical Logs

The hosting service may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time stamps. Those logs help with security, uptime, and aggregate traffic counts. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics or, when present, advertising measurement. The site does not use those logs to build a named resident profile.

How the Limited Data Is Used

Information is used to operate the pages, diagnose failures, understand broad readership, and respond to a message. We do not sell a visitor list or assemble individual user profiles from the small amount of information described above.

Links to Portals and Collections

San Fernando pages link to county and state record systems, courts, libraries, archives, and third-party search tools. Information submitted on an outside service is governed by that service's policy, not this one. Sponsored search results are also supplied by a third party, which controls its own collection and retention practices.

Who Can Receive Information

Hosting and support vendors can process technical logs as needed to run the service. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information may also be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it. No other routine disclosure is promised or implied.

Security and Retention

The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes stated here. There are no user accounts, passwords, or resident profiles maintained by San Fernando Residents Directory. No security system can guarantee that a transmission or stored log will never be exposed.

Visitors Under 18

The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor sent information to the contact mailbox, use the Contact page so the operators can review and delete what they control.

California Data Rights

California's Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, is codified in Civil Code ยง1798.100 et seq. Qualifying consumers may have rights to know, correct, delete, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and opt out of sale or sharing. Because this service keeps little direct visitor information, a request generally means checking the contact mailbox and relevant server logs. Use the Contact page to ask.

The 2026 Delete Act created the DROP program at the California Privacy Protection Agency. A California resident can use the state privacy-request guidance and the DROP request portal to ask registered data brokers to delete covered information, subject to exceptions and the program's processing cycle. A data-broker request does not delete a deed, court file, voter record, or other public record held by San Fernando, Los Angeles County, California, or another custodian. Safe at Home is a separate confidentiality program. Removal or correction of a public record must be directed to its source office.

Changes to This Policy

When the privacy practices or legal references change, a revised version will be posted here. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
